Empowered individuals like Noella remind us that love, care, and connection are the strongest forces in the world.
Their whole life long, residents of MSC are guaranteed a home where they will never be abandoned again.
Born with cerebral palsy, Noella came to Mustard Seed in 1992 when she was almost seven years old. Since then, the therapy and support she has received at Sophie’s Place have helped her grow into the confident, social, and spirited woman she is today.
Noella loves sharing big smiles with those around her and especially enjoys moments when caregivers pamper her with makeup and attention. These everyday acts of care make trust and joy a routine that forges unbreakable bonds between residents and caregivers.
“These [residents] need tender loving care. They need our guidance because they cannot do these things for themselves. So we are here. We are their guidance, their mother, their everything,” shares a caregiver who holds Noella in a special place in her heart.
“The longer you’re with the residents, the more you’ll learn… the more you’ll learn from them.”

Their connection is a glimpse into the lasting relationships that make Mustard Seed Communities a place where residents are undeniably celebrated and valued for exactly who they are.
