You are never alone, even when it is difficult to believe that the small seed in your hand will one day grow fruit.
God invites us to trust Him with every part of our lives. Even when the path ahead is uncertain, we can find peace in knowing that we are never walking it alone. He knows us completely, loves us deeply, and remains present through every season of our lives.
Paidagogos reminds us of the wisdom of being guided toward a deeper trust in God. Rather than relying only on our own understanding, we are invited to open our hearts and minds to His wisdom and allow His presence to guide us.
What does it mean to trust God when we find ourselves in the low moments of life? When we face uncertainty, grief, or experiences we do not understand, it is natural to have questions. Yet even in those moments, God remains our safe haven. His love does not disappear when life becomes difficult. He remains with us, offering strength, guidance, and peace.
Trusting in God does not mean that we will always understand what is happening. It means that we can lean on His strength when our own feels limited, release our worries about the future, and move forward with faith. We do not have to have every answer or know exactly what lies ahead. We can trust that God is present and that He is working, even when we cannot yet see it.
Isaiah offers a beautiful image of this trust:
“Just as from the heavens the rain and snow come down and do not return there till they have watered the earth, making it fertile and fruitful, giving seed to the one who sows and bread to the one who eats, so shall My word be.”
Isaiah 55:10
Rain quietly nourishes the earth before we ever see the fruit it produces. In much the same way, God is always at work in our lives, even during seasons when His presence or purpose may feel hidden. What we cannot see does not mean that nothing is happening. We can trust that God is nurturing, guiding, and bringing forth new life in ways that may only become clear with time.
There may be times when life feels like a mighty wind, shaking us and making it difficult to see clearly. In those moments, we can pause, breathe, pray, and remember that Jesus is present with us. We do not have to face uncertainty through our own strength alone.
We pray for openness to the Holy Spirit to deepen our faith, calm our fears, and open our hearts to God’s presence. May we learn to trust Him more fully, especially when the road ahead is unclear. May we always remember that, just as the rain nourishes the earth before new life appears, God is at work in us, with us, and around us.

Originally from Kenya, Br. Edwin’s journey with the Mustard Seed Missionaries (MGS) began with a simple “Come and See” program in 2024. It was an encounter that ignited a deep, lasting heart for mission work. This calling eventually led him to step up in faith and join the community at the MGS formation house in Zimbabwe.
Through his daily hands-on ministry of caring for the most vulnerable, Br. Edwin lives out Christ’s mission of being a true “friend to the friendless” firsthand. For him, the mission is not only a duty, but a daily opportunity to witness the face of Christ in persons whom society often overlooks. He hopes to offer comfort and a steady presence to everyone he serves.
