Brailin

Birthdate: March 27, 2009
Brailin is a rock star! He loves music and is learning to play the guitar and the drums at the local music school. Brailin loves all of his fans—Mustard Seed volunteers and donors! Brailin has Down syndrome and attends school five days a week.
Brailin stays busy and involved in every activity at Hogar Immanuel and knows the names of all of his fellow residents and his caregivers. He also likes photography and taking videos.

Gregory
Birthdate: 2005-09-28
Birthdate: September 28, 2005
Gregory finds adventures in books. When his caregivers are reading to him, his eyes grow big, and brighter. The pictures on the page grab his attention and he is engrossed. Gregory has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, limited motor function, uses a wheelchair, and is intellectually disabled.
Gregory enjoys music, water therapy, and touring around Hogar Immanuel as he’s being guided in his wheelchair.

Ruth

Birthdate: December 26, 2018
Ruth is the baby of the family at Hogar Immanuel. She demonstrates her happy nature by giving her caregivers frequent, enthusiastic smiles. Ruth came to Mustard Seed when she was 18 months old. She was born near the border of Haiti. There is not much else known about her history—even her birthdate is an estimation. Ruth has visual strabismus, limited motor function, and is intellectually disabled.
She is growing quickly, becoming stronger, and learning more every day, thanks to the daily therapy she receives.

Juan Ariel
Birthdate: 2002-08-27
Birthdate: August 27, 2002
Juan Ariel is very musical and lights up when you play a song for him. He loves it when people talk to him. When you speak to him, he listens closely and his face and body language tell you that he understands. Juan Ariel is 18 years old, and became part of the Mustard Seed Communities family in 2017.
Juan Ariel has benefited from therapeutic massage and likes gentle touches and hugs.

Selene

Birthdate: October 10, 2008
Selene is very calm and though she has experienced many health challenges, she always keeps her sweet disposition. She enjoys her daily physical therapy including stretches, massages, and range of motion exercises. Selene has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, limited motor function, uses a wheelchair, and has an intellectual disability.

Lupe
Birthdate: 1990-06-07
Birthdate: June 7, 1990
Lupe, nicknamed Chula, is a leader at Hogar Immanuel. She models her behavior after her caregivers and likes to check in on her fellow residents. She addresses them by name and talks with everyone who visits her home. She loves to have her picture taken and seeing the photos of herself. Lupe has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, limited motor function, uses a walker, and has an intellectual disability.
Lupe has a small collection of dolls which she names and carries with her. She has a great sense of humor and loves watching comedies.

Franchesca
Birthdate: 2000-12-12
Birthdate: March 29, 2008
Franchesca’s smile brings joy to all who meet her. She joined the Mustard Seed family in Dominican Republic when she was two years old. She has grown into a wonderful young lady and enjoys dressing up and playing with dolls. Franchesca has cerebral palsy, epilepsy, limited motor function, is intellectually disabled, and uses a wheelchair. She attends school for children with special needs. Her teachers are working with her to improve her fine motor skills through coloring and writing the letters of the alphabet.
Franchesca attends physical therapy every day and is able to walk short distances using her walker.
