Mission Accomplished: 2025 Teams Gave Us Hope

For more than three decades, Mustard Seed Communities (MSC) has welcomed mission volunteers into daily life at its homes around the world through faith-based mission trips rooted in relationship and care.

For one week, volunteers on short-term international mission trips step into the rhythm of the MSC Family. They share meals, lend hands, repair living spaces, and form meaningful relationships with children and adults with disabilities. All the while, learning from individuals whose lives are marked by resilience, joy, and dignity.

This approach reflects a foundational belief of MSC’s founder, Msgr. Gregory Ramkissoon: that love is essential to healing.

In 2025, this vision continued to unfold through volunteer mission trips to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic, bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds, faith traditions, schools, parishes, and communities. Though each team arrived with different skills and stories, one shared experience emerged again and again—love has a way of crossing every boundary.

Our appreciation for these teams and individuals who extend their time, energy, and love to our community runs deep.

Join us in this lookback at the 2025 year of mission trips…

900 volunteers made up 70 teams; they raised a total of $1,736,573 for MSC.
In Jamaica, nearly 500 children and adults find a home across MSC’s 12 homes. In the Dominican Republic, two homes serve 64 residents.
The mission teams are made up of a diverse set of groups; this year, we had 19 high school teams, 13 adult/parish teams, 12 college teams, 11 building teams, 9 medical teams, 4 family teams, and 2 others.
Teams this year came from 16 different U.S. states.
Georgia sent the most teams (14). Massachusetts had the second most teams (10). Kentucky and Pennsylvania had the third most teams (9).

With deep gratitude, Mustard Seed Communities offers heartfelt thanks and blessings to every volunteer who made this year’s mission program possible.

Your presence, compassion, and generosity continue to shape MSC in lasting ways. Our community is stronger because of you.
