Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
A Donor Advised Fund (DAF) is a flexible and efficient way to support Mustard Seed Communities while enjoying immediate tax benefits. DAFs allow you to contribute cash, securities, or other assets to a fund managed by a sponsoring organization and then recommend grants to the charities you care about, including MSC.
How It Works
- You can make a charitable contribution to your DAF and receive an immediate tax deduction.
- Over time, you can recommend grants from your fund to Mustard Seed Communities, either as one-time gifts or on a recurring basis.
- Your DAF may also allow you to designate MSC as a beneficiary, ensuring that all or a portion of your fund’s remaining balance passes directly to MSC when the fund terminates.
Getting Started
- Contact your DAF administrator to request a distribution or beneficiary form.
- Once your form is submitted, email securities@mustardseed.com with the details of your transfer to ensure your gift is properly recorded.
