Bequests

Planting Seeds of Generosity

A bequest is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to leave a legacy. By naming Mustard Seed Communities in your will or trust, you can ensure that your generosity continues to provide homes, care, and hope for the most vulnerable for generations to come.

Bequests are flexible, easy to arrange, and may provide estate tax benefits for your heirs. Most importantly, they allow your compassion to live on, bearing fruit long into the future.

Types of Bequests

Specific Bequest – A gift of a particular asset (such as real estate, property, or a fixed dollar amount).

Percentage Bequest – A gift of a stated percentage of your overall estate.

Residual Bequest – A gift made from the balance of your estate after all other obligations are fulfilled.

Contingent Bequest – A gift made only if your primary beneficiaries are no longer able to inherit.
