Jamaica Mission Trip Locations
While serving in Jamaica, volunteers stay in one of these four homes: Blessed Assurance, Gift of Hope, Jacob’s Ladder, or Sophie’s Place.
Volunteers visiting Jamaica will primarily stay at one of four homes; yet they may also have the opportunity to serve at any of Mustard Seed Communities’ other homes across the island.
Blessed Assurance
Location: Windsor Lodge (just outside of Montego Bay)
Airport: Montego Bay (MBJ)
Maximum Group Size: 20
Accommodations: Mission housing is on site with separate wings and bathrooms for each gender. There are 12 beds in the male dorm, 12 in the female dorm and a separate single room.
Blessed Assurance, Mustard Seed Communities’ residence in Montego Bay, shelters over 30 children with disabilities. During mission trips to Montego Bay, volunteers lodge at Blessed Assurance for the duration of their stay, fostering meaningful connections with the residents.
Gift of Hope
Location: Spur Tree, Mandeville
Airport: Kingston (KIN)

Gift of Hope, located in Mandeville, is Mustard Seed Communities’ latest endeavor in providing care for individuals with disabilities. Currently home to 25 residents, this facility embodies our commitment to offering love and support to those in need. As we grow, our vision remains focused on expanding our reach and providing a nurturing environment for even more individuals seeking refuge and compassion.
Sophie’s Place
Location: Several MSC homes in and around Kingston

Accommodations: Sophie’s Place in Gordon Town (just outside of Kingston) has a mission dormitory on site. The dorm has a wing and bathroom(s) for each gender with 12 beds in the male room & 12 in the female room. A separate single room is available.
Kingston, Jamaica serves as the foundation of Mustard Seed Communities, boasting numerous homes and communities integral to the mission experience. Volunteers embarking on missions to Kingston will stay at Sophie’s Place but will have the chance to serve at other MSC apostolates, such as My Father’s House and Jerusalem!
Jacob’s Ladder
Location: Moneague
Airport: Montego Bay (MBJ) or Kingston (KIN)

Accommodations: On site at Jacob’s Ladder, the mission house is divided into two dorms. There are 12 beds in the male dorm and 12 beds in the female dorm with two separate single rooms.
Jacob’s Ladder, nestled in Moneague, Jamaica, spans 150 acres and serves as Mustard Seed Communities’ haven for nearly 160 adults and 17 children with disabilities. Filling a crucial gap in Jamaica’s care infrastructure, Jacob’s Ladder aims to offer peace and dignity to adults with disabilities, providing a nurturing home for those in need.
