Never Abandoned Twice
At Mustard Seed Communities (MSC), we make a promise: once a child or adult with disabilities enters our family, they will never be abandoned again.
For over four decades, this promise has guided everything we do—from the moment a resident first arrives to the care we provide throughout their lifetime.

Noella’s Story
Noella’s journey shows what lifelong care looks like in action.
Abandoned as a child because of her disabilities, she found her forever home at Mustard Seed. Decades later, she still receives daily care, therapy, and—most importantly—love. Her caregivers know her laugh, her personality, and her strength. She is not just cared for, she is family.
What Lifelong Care Means
Safe Homes – Secure, loving environments where residents are embraced as family. Brailin, who came to Mustard Seed in the Dominican Republic at just one year old, has grown up in this embrace and will remain with us for life.
24/7 Support – Dedicated caregivers who provide round-the-clock care with dignity and compassion.
Therapy & Medical Care – Daily therapy sessions, access to medical treatment, and specialized support for each unique need.
Education & Skills – Learning opportunities and life skills programs that empower residents to thrive.
Spiritual Formation – The assurance that every resident is seen, cherished, and loved by God

The Bigger Picture
Today, over 750 residents across Jamaica, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and Malawi call Mustard Seed home. Every one of them requires food, therapy, medicine, education, and the steady love of caregivers who walk with them for life.
It costs approximately $1,000 each month to provide full care for one resident. That means every gift—large or small—helps sustain this promise of lifelong love.
Be Part of the Promise
When you give, you become part of this story. Your generosity means:
- No child is left behind because of a disability.
- No resident faces abandonment again.
- Every person in our care knows the dignity of being valued and loved.
