Birthdate: March 18, 2015

Irene’s name means peace and she is indeed a peaceful soul that brings joy to everyone she meets. When she came to Mustard Seed, she was unable to walk because her legs were too weak. With daily physical therapy, she learned to use a walker, and eventually began to walk on her own. Irene has limited motor function and post traumatic stress disorder.

She attends the Puerto Plato Special School and enjoys making friends with other children, staff, and volunteers. She loves music and dancing. She is an active listener and pays attention to every word that is spoken to her.
