A happy child who will not hesitate to flash you a bright smile, give you a big hug, and a gleeful giggle.
Say hello to Granville! He lives at Gift of Hope at MSC Jamaica and joined the MSC family in 2013. Before Granville came to Mustard Seed, there was no strategy or treatment to manage his Autism spectrum disorder. He struggled to communicate and was aggressive—biting and scratching anyone he came into contact with. He was weak, malnourished, and covered in sores. He was also isolated and alone.
The care Granville has received from Mustard Seed staff and volunteers has helped Granville grow into a happy child who will not hesitate to flash you a bright smile, give you a big hug, and a gleeful giggle. He is no longer isolated. Thanks to occupational therapy, he now eats with utensils and has productive routines to carry out daily activities like dressing and bathing.
