Meet Giovanni, a resident at Sophie’s Place who loves to make new friends!
Giovanni is one of the newest residents at Sophie’s Place in Gordon Town, Jamaica. When he arrived at MSC in July, he could eat from a bottle; now, he is able to grasp a spoon and help feed himself! Living with cerebral palsy and epilepsy creates challenges for him, but he is a determined and hopeful individual who is working on sitting up, speaking, and communicating with facial expressions and body language.
At 4 years old, some of Giovanni’s favorite things are Sophie’s Place circle time and being held by caregivers and mission volunteers. It’s great fun for him to make friends with mission volunteers when they visit the apostolate! Giovanni is a smart and special resident with high hopes.
