What was so fascinating is that the kids had nothing, but they had everything. They had Christ.
Name:
Michael D.
Apostolate:
Blessed Assurance- Montego Bay, Jamaica

"Taking the pictures at Blessed Assurance was a very life-changing experience for me. At first it felt like I was taking pictures of disabled children. By the second day, I was taking pictures of my brothers and sisters. I was taking pictures of the connection between the residents and my fellow classmates: the eye contact, hand-holding, but most importantly, the connection that you can not see: love. This connection reminded me of the Holy Spirit; the unconditional love between God the Father and God the Son. You cannot see it, but you can experience it. We, the Heights students, had a choice of whether or not to internally accept this connection with the children at Blessed Assurance. We had the choice to visit with the children throughout the week, and to get to know them better. Just like each one of us has the choice to get to know the Lord better, and to visit Him regularly. What was so fascinating is that the kids had nothing, but they had everything. They had Christ."
