Jamoly came to live at Mustard Seed Communities when he was 7 months old. He had been abandoned at the hospital. Jamoly has hydrocephalus and was not expected to walk or even speak. Today, Jamoly is 5 years old, talks in full sentences, and attends school. He is crawling, able to pull himself up to stand, and his caregivers believe that he will eventually walk. Thanks to the care he has received at Mustard Seed, Jamoly is thriving.

Abbi-Gayle

Abbi-Gayle came to Mustard Seed when she was 12 years old. When she first arrived, she wasn't very verbal and now she is speaking much more. She is a fashionable, friendly, and loving young woman. Abbi-Gayle is helpful and caring, especially with the younger residents. She likes to take other residents on nature walks around her home, Blessed Assurance, in Jamaica. She is learning at school and working on coloring, matching, and writing. In the future, her caregivers expect that she will be able to do more and assist with projects around the home.

Jerome

Jerome has been part of the Mustard Seed family since he was 3 years old. Born with cerebral palsy and developmental disabilities, his mother wasn't able to care for him while also working to provide for his siblings. With nowhere else to go, he was brought to Mustard Seed.

Now 27 years old, having received many years of care and therapy at Mustard Seed, Jerome has gained independence. He loves using his mobility cart at his daily job of labeling and delivering eggs at MSC's farm at Jerusalem! Jerome also makes time to work on his passion—assisting the wheelchair technicians in making repairs.
