MSC began in 1978 as a home for children with disabilities on the outskirts of Kingston, Jamaica. Today, Mustard Seed Communities provides loving and lifelong care to over 600 children and adults with disabilities, children affected by HIV, and young mothers in crisis across Jamaica, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Zimbabwe, and Malawi. Inspired by the healing and caring Ministry of Jesus Christ, we aim to uplift the most vulnerable members of society, especially disabled and abandoned children, and marginalized communities.
MSC began by caring for a handful of children who needed it most. Today, we provide residential care to 600.
MSC manages nutrition, education, and outreach programs to uplift and empower communities.
Sustainable agriculture and vocational training programs are part of MSC's presence in each country we serve.
Four pillars of MSC spirituality drive our work. They are simplicity, generosity, freedom, and community.
