Nutrition Programs

Zimbabwe feeding programNutrition and feeding programs are a key part of the work that Mustard Seed Communities does in all of the countires where we serve. In Jamaica, nutrition is a key component of the Little Angels preschools, where children are provided with a daily meal. In Nicaragua, nutrition and feeding programs are a key component of the Christ in the Garbage program. The same is true of the Christ in the Garbage program in the Dominican Republic as well – there is a feeding program that takes place monthly in the dump at Sosua and nutrition and a meal are a large part of the educational component at the Batey La Union School

MSC’s location in Zimbabwe is on ten acres of property on the outskirts of Bulawayo. At this site, there are four nutrition programs. These programs provide a daily meal to over 600 children. The preschool programs in Zimbabwe provide two meals daily to the 200 children that attend school. Many of these children walk several miles each day for this meal.
