My Story:
Hi there. My name is Kevin, but everyone calls me Special K. I love having a nick name. I live at Hogar Belen Managua where I go to school every day. My favorite thing to do at school is to play with Play-doh. I also like to play with the toy piano and drums because I love music. I’m a great eater and love my vegetables.
I like a lot of "alone time” and I have a special spot where I hang out. I sit by the fence a lot and watch cars and trucks go by. I love cars, trucks and motorcycles, really anything that goes fast! There are some crazy drivers out there! It's a lot of fun. I just discovered a new game, but it sometimes gets me in trouble with my house mom... I like to sit under the water hose and play in the mud. It's so much fun, I can't figure out why she doesn't want me to do it... I don't mind changing clothes all the time.
I generally have two moods: good moods and bad moods and usually nothing in between. When I'm in a bad mood I like to just swing in the hammock and listen to music; it relaxes me.
When I’m in a good mood, I have a great smile and like to laugh.
Talk to you soon!
Special K
My Background:
Kevin was abandoned by his mother as an infant. He has been at Mustard Seed Communities Nicaragua since he was 3 years old. Kevin suffers from neurological problems that create his mood swings. He undergoes frequent testing and daily therapy. Kevin is very happy boy, but likes a lot of alone time. He eats well and is growing fast!
