The Board of Directors of Mustard Seed Communities USA announces the appointment of Laura Doherty as Interim Director of MSC USA. We are grateful to Maria Nordone for her generous service.
This past year, people around the world have been overwhelmed with the ongoing consequences of tragic events such as the Tsunami, Katrina and other hurricanes, and the earthquake in Pakistan. At the same time we are faced with growing demands as we try to be faithful to the children of our Mustard Seed Communities in Jamaica, Nicaragua, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Zimbabwe. Under Maria's leadership MSC USA has grown in both its mission trips and financial support from the United States. Faithful in our commitment to the children and their critical needs it is the unanimous decision of the Board of Directors to make Mustard Seed Communities USA an increasing source of support for its apostolates. We are grateful to our staff and supporters for their commitment and patience as we move through this time of transition.
